Females' Campus


The Islamic University in Uganda, Females’ Campus was established in 2008 as a 4th Campus of IUIU intended exclusively for female students. It is situated at Kabojja, Wakiso District, off Old Masaka Road,1 mile from Nateete Town.

The rationale for establishing a Females’ Campus was to increase access to Higher Education for the female students from English speaking African countries.

 

The Campus runs Day programmes on a Semester System. Plans are underway to launch Evening & Weekend Programmes to attract the female working class.

 

Its location offers a conducive learning environment for the female students and it is endowed with sports and recreational facilities.

 

The campus started with a pioneer student population of 440 students from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia and Iran.

 

Faculties

The Campus has five faculties.

  1. Faculty of Law (FOL),
  2. Faculty of Education (FOE),
  3. Faculty of Science (FOS),
  4. Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) and
  5. Faculty of Management Studies (FMS).

 

Academic Programmes at the Campus:

The campus offers eighteen (18) different academic programmes ranging from certificate to Bachelor’s degrees.

The programmes include; Bachelor of Arts Education, Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Human Resources Management, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Procurement And Logistics Management, Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Secretarial and Administrative Studies, Bachelor of Social Work And Social Administration, Certificate in Business Studies, Certificate in Library And Information Science, Certificate in Records Management, Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Law, Diploma in Records Management, Remedial Programme (Arts), Remedial Programme (Science)
