Higher Education Certificate (Biological Sciences)

Admission Requirements

Five passes at O-Level or the Equivalent, plus 2 subsidiary passes at A-Level obtained at the same sitting.

Students whose foreign secondary school qualifications obtained from outside Uganda and are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A‑level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education with at least a 5 credits. Foreign students whose studies were not conducted in English shall show proof of proficiency in the English Language, For example:

1. Kenya;Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) a minimum Mean Grade of C+
2. Sudan, Burundi, Nigeria, Somalia And the Democratic Republic Of Congo (DRC), the minimum qualification for such applicants to qualify for HEC is 50%.
