Abstract

Travelogue is considered as modern art and literary reneisance in Nigerian Arabic literature. This Art started drawing the attention of Nigerian Scholars in the twentieth century as they travelled abroad and saw variety of things and encountered challenges that fascinated to put those experiences in whites and blacks to benefit their people when they returned home. They embark on voyage to many Arab states: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, and the likes. Some of them also travelled to many African countries such as; Senegal, Mali and Niger. This travelogue has indeed exposed Nigerians Scholars to various things that occur in another society; they have in the course of recording their trips described places and personalities they met with together with social and geographical monument, they also gave insights on diversity of dialects, language and foods, to show to the readers how much they have mingled with the people of various places they have visited.
