Delegation from Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University Visits Islamic University in Uganda

A team of Officials from National council for higher education visited the Islamic university in Uganda main campus Mbale.
On behalf of IUIU Management, staff and all stakeholders, the Rector of IUIU Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda welcomed the officials who were on a two-day visit from (Monday 17th-Tuesday 18th October 2022) with a purpose of supervising, monitoring and assessing the post graduate department of the Islamic university in Uganda.
National council for higher education (NCHE) monitors the performance of the institutions that it licenses to ensure that they maintain the standards, and remedy those aspects where improvement is needed.
Prof. Gyagenda thanked the government of Uganda and National council for higher education for creating and implementing such initiatives to ensure a high standard of education is provided by institutions of higher learning in the country.
The guests also interacted with the Director center for post graduate studies Assoc. prof. Dr. Matovu Musa, Deans of faculties and Ph.D. / Masters students.
Different facilities put in place to cater for the post graduate department like the new library which is nearing completion, post graduate lounge, main library and biology laboratory were also visited.
The team will later visit other IUIU campuses and provide a comprehensive report of their findings during the exercise.
