Meeting with Africa Friendship Association, Turkiye

The Rector of IUIU Assoc. Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda today, Tuesday 17th January 2023, met at his Kampala Campus office the Chairman of the Africa Friendship Association, Mr  Semsettin Turkan.

The Association was instrumental in the establishment of the Nawanyago Technical Institute project in Kamuli, in collaboration with the Uganda Government and TIKA, the Turkish development agency.
 

 
The Rector gave a brief history of IUIU and the future plans for growing IUIU endowment and strengthening IUIU linkages with International partners. 
 
The two exchanged ideas on how to mobilise resources for IUIU in Turkiye and how IUIU can support the work of AFA in Uganda.
 
Accompanying the visitors were Turkish business executives who are exploring partnerships and investment opportunities in Uganda.
