IUIU Participates in Uganda’s 1st Global Innovation Index (GII) Symposium

In a significant show of solidarity and diplomatic engagement, the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) participated in the 101st anniversary of Türkiye’s independence. Representing the Rector, the Vice-Rector attended the event held at the Sheraton Kampala on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, accompanied by Mr. Saim Celik, Coordinator of the Centre for Capacity Development.
The celebration featured a special video address by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, emphasizing the importance of national unity and the enduring spirit of Türkiye’s independence. His message resonated with attendees, highlighting shared values and a commitment to strength and solidarity.
The Vice Rector had the honour of meeting H.E. Fatih Ak, the Ambassador of Türkiye, along with other diplomats and prominent members of the Turkish community. He conveyed the Rector’s message, underscoring the longstanding ties and mutual benefits between IUIU and the Turkish community and the university’s commitment to collaborative educational and cultural initiatives.
This participation underscores IUIU’s dedication to fostering international relationships and celebrating milestones that unite diverse communities in shared purpose and respect.
