IUIU Holds Staff Training on Competence-Based Curriculum

Ms. Nagadya Hamidah of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) expressed heartfelt appreciation to all individuals who participated in her recent research study, which focused on enhancing the quality of legal education in Uganda. The study specifically examined the pedagogical approaches employed in law schools and faculties across the country.

On 10th June 2025, Ms. Hamidah presented her research findings at the Peer Review Summit 2025, hosted by the Law Development Center (LDC). The summit brought together legal scholars, researchers, and policymakers with the aim of sharing knowledge, engaging in critical discourse, and shaping policy decisions that impact legal education and training in Uganda.

Her presentation was well received, and she was pleased to learn that her work will play a role in informing policy discussions on repositioning legal education and training. This recognition marks a significant milestone in her academic journey and affirms the relevance of her research in addressing current gaps in legal pedagogy.
In her remarks, Ms. Hamidah expressed her gratitude to the Almighty for the opportunity and success, and extended sincere thanks to all stakeholders who supported her study.
