The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) mourns the passing of the Rt. Hon. Gen. (Rtd) Moses Ali, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business in Parliament.
Gen. Ali was among the original founders of IUIU at its inception in Lahore in 1987, and went on to serve as a Council Member and Chairman of the Appointments Committee. In recognition of his outstanding service to the nation, IUIU conferred upon him an Honorary Doctorate at its most recent graduation.
The University Administration, staff, students, and the entire IUIU family extend heartfelt condolences to his family, the government, and the people of Uganda. May Allah (SWT) grant him Jannatul Firdaus and grant his family strength and comfort.
