Motion Analysis Research Laboratory (MARL) is a Research-driven Innovations Laboratory of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) located at Kampala Campus. The proposal to establish MARL was approved in November 2018 and by May 2019, MARL was formally operational. The goal of MARL is to play a crucial role in fulfilling part of the innovation agenda of IUIU of continuously working towards technology-based solutions to our real-life societal problems. MARL is leveraging sensing technologies and artificial intelligence in the design of state-of-the-art innovative solutions to real world problems. The Laboratory is currently headed by Dr Umar Yahya, with four full-time Research Assistants (Mr. Mwaka Lucky, Mr. Pembe Fahad, Mr. Matsiko Innocent, and Mr. Segawa AbdulKarim).
