CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

The Islamic university in uganda is deeply saddened and grieved by the loss of His Excellency Ambassador Askar Mussinov, the Director General of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS) and the Former Assistant Secretary General for Science and Technology of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Ambassador Askar was a distinguished diplomat and advocate for international engagement. In the year 2019, he was appointed to the University Council of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) as a representative of the OIC Secretary General, a role he fulfilled with dedication and commitment until January 2024. In January 2023, he took on the significant role of the University Council Chairman, serving until December 2023.
