IUIU Kampala Campus Hosts TİKA Delegation

The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Kampala Campus today welcomed a delegation from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), led by Mr. Orhan Aydın, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department, and Mr. Murat Çetin, TİKA Programme Coordinator for Uganda.

The delegation was received by the Rector Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, who led discussions reflecting on the long-standing relationship between IUIU and TİKA, and the range of projects the two institutions have implemented together over the years. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to expanding this partnership, with further joint projects planned.

In appreciation of TİKA's continued support and partnership, the Rector presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Aydın. The visit concluded with a tour of all ongoing Projects currently being hosted at the Kampala Campus (Leather Tailoring Workshop and Medical Lab Equipment), giving the delegation a firsthand look at the impact of the collaboration.

IUIU reaffirms its appreciation for TİKA's sustained investment in the university's growth and looks forward to deepening this partnership in the years ahead.
