IUIU Wins Wanted Witness Privacy Moot Competition 2023

Islamic University in Uganda has won the Unwanted Witness Privacy Moot Competition 2023. The 2nd edition of the competition was among 13 universities offering law in Uganda and commenced on 21st September ending on Friday 22nd September 2023 at Makerere University.

IUIU was represented by Mr. Kityo Martin and Ms. Kisambira Aida Gift both students of law.

Mrs. Nagadya Hamida, the Dean Faculty of Law IUIU commended the students for honorably representing the university at the competition. 

The Privacy Moot Court Competition is a prestigious annual inter-university event, dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges posed by emerging privacy issues. By providing a platform for young legal professionals to enhance their knowledge of data protection laws, policies, and regulations, to equip them with essential skills in this rapidly growing sector.
