Signing Condolence Book at the Turkish Embassy

This afternoon, on behalf of the Council, Management, Staff and Students, the Rector of IUIU, Assoc. Prof. Gyagenda visited the Federal Republic of Turkey Embassy in Kololo to offer the IUIU community's deep sympathy and condolences to the Turkish Government and people in the tragic loss of thousands of lives due to the recent earthquakes.

Accompanied by Mr Saim Celik, Coordinator of the Center for Capacity Development, the Rector was received by the Turkish Deputy Ambassador, HE Can Atasoy, who thanked the Rector and Mr Celik for the warm gesture.
 
A formal acknowledgement was handed to them.
 
The Turkish Government and several Turkish NGOs are partnering with IUIU in several areas of socioeconomic development 
 
We all pray that Allah pours His Mercy on the victims and Guides the Government in its relief efforts in the affected areas.
