Pearl Bank Uganda Extends Ramadhan Support to Islamic University in Uganda with Water Tanks and Food Aid

The Islamic University in Uganda has received a timely boost to student welfare following a donation of two water tanks and assorted food items from Pearl Bank Uganda on Friday, 13th March 2026, at the main campus in Mbale.
The contribution is aimed at enhancing water accessibility on campus while also supporting Muslim students observing the holy month of Ramadan. The water tanks will strengthen reliable water storage for daily use, while the food items will help ease fasting for students.
Receiving the donation, the University Rector, Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, commended the bank for its continued support, noting that the gesture will have a meaningful impact on student well-being during this important period.
Speaking at the handover, Mbale Regional Manager Arafat Zaake encouraged the public to embrace the bank’s services, emphasizing that such support enables the institution to sustain its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
