The Academic Registrar of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has been awarded the 'Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders' Award. The 50 Women in Education Leaders is an intensely researched process undertaken by a jury of Senior Professionals from across the globe who shortlist individuals using criteria of strategic perspective, future orientation, track record, integrity, and ethics, the ability for sustainable education and evaluation approach.

The recognition was unveiled at the World Congress held in Mumbai, India at Taj Land Ends under the theme 'Emerging Technologies in Education for Sustainable Development' on 11th - 12th July 2024.
