IUIU Faculty of Law Hosts Inter-Year Football Matches

The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Faculty of Law hosted the inter-year football matches on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the university’s main campus. The event organized to foster unity among students and bridge the gap between the student body and the administration featured teams from Year One to Year Four.
The matches drew support from both students and staff, with the Dean of the Faculty of Law and several lecturers in attendance.
The Year four team emerged as the champions after defeating the Year One team in the final which ended in penalties winning a trophy, goat jerseys, and a cash prize for their hard-fought victory.
The Dean Dr. AbdulLateef Wale Adeyemo congratulated the winners for their achievement and commended all participants for their involvement in the event.
He further encouraged students to work hard, not only in the field but also in their studies, and urged them to participate in future activities organized by the faculty.
The event was sponsored by Leonard Chemutai, a Year Three law student at IUIU, who also played a key role in his team's victory.
In his remarks, he has promised to continue supporting future initiatives within the faculty, underscoring the importance of such events in fostering camaraderie and community spirit.
