Dear students of the class of 2022, you are embarking on an intellectual adventure at IUIU, a university with a great heritage. Be cognizant that IUIU is an intergovernmental institution and the second university ever to be established in Uganda (after Makerere). It offers over 90 programs consisting of undergraduate (certificates, diplomas, and degrees) and postgraduate (postgraduate diplomas, masters, and Ph.D. degrees). At the center of your IUIU experience are our Innovation Lab, Motion Analysis Research Lab (MARL), ERP system, E-voting, IUIU FM, Dawah Entrepreneurship Club (DEC), students' associations, and various sports and games that will arm you with life skills and career skills which will give you an edge in the existing cut-throat competition in your respective societies. While each of you will choose your pathway, either way, you will develop essential capacities that impact your future. Our faculties will impart knowledge, skills, and rich culture to equip you to thrive in our increasingly complex and interconnected world. Such knowledge and skills will make you succeed in both your professional and personal life. The courses and co-curricular activities that you will undertake will augment your experiences throughout your study period. Therefore, you should use your time here to explore IUIU's rich array of learning experiences to develop ways of thinking crucial to your future.
