IUIU Renews Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Lahore

Today March 26th 2022, the Rector visited the University of Lahore, Lahore Campus, at the invitation of Prof. Awais Raoof, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT).
The two signed a renewal of the MoU between the two Institutions, under which mutually beneficial programs will be implemented.
Prof. Awais welcomed Prof. Gyagenda warmly, for the second time (last month, Prof. Gyagenda and his Assistant Mr. Mutyaba visited the University) and reiterated his commitment to help IUIU fulfil its mandate.
Both agreed that a concrete action plan be concluded by Monday so that the MoU does not gather dust on the shelf.
Four IUIU academic staff will this year take up PhD scholarships at UOL. Next year three staff will go and in 2024, three will go,making a total of 10 scholarships.
Prof. Gyagenda thanked Prof. Awais for the brotherly welcome and for the staff development support of PhD scholarships.
He pledgd total support to the MoU.
The scholarships tie in with the University strategic plan for increase in the number of IUIU staff with PhD.
