Condolence Message To The Commonwealth Family

On behalf of the Management, Staff, Students and all our Distinguished Stakeholders at ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY IN UGANDA (IUIU), I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the United Kingdom Royal Family, Government, and Peoples for the passing away of the UK Monarch and Head of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II, who has been a constant in our ever changing world.

IUIU is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and we have benefited from ACU through scholarships for our staff and seminars and workshops that have added value to our programs. In fact our Academic Registrar, Dr. Halima Wakabi Akbar, is an ACU scholarship beneficiary at Birmingham University, and many of our staff are UK trained.

We, therefore, console our Commonwealth community and wish that the Beneficent Almighty Allah gives strength to the Queen’s family, the UK Government and peoples, as well as the many people around the world, who have vicariously experienced admired the Queen’s grace and character over the years.
