Centre for Capacity Development (CCD) Organized a Seminar Titled: What is University Education

Centre for Capacity Development (CCD) organized a seminar on Wednesday,27th September 2023 which is titled "What is University Education". The event occurred at the Kampala Campus and was joined online by other IUIU campuses. It basically targeted freshers with four major objectives.

1. To familiarize newly admitted students with the campus environment
2. To orient students on how to conceptualize university education  
3. To broaden understanding of university education in the minds of the target group
4. To make sense of university education to the target group for easy adaptation to an unfamiliar learning environment

The coordinator, CCD introduced the motives of the seminar and introduced the topic and the presenter and invited the presenter to the stage. The presenter, Dr. Taha Kasule Ahmad shared with the audience the historical background of the university as a transforming entity in society, its roles, and its influence.

He also made comparative analyses of university education in the northern and southern parts of the globe and the evolution of university education. The organiser thanked the entire management of the university and the audience.
