RECTOR ASKS STAFF AND STUDENTS TO REMAIN POSITIVE AS THE COUNTRY GOES FOR ANOTHER LOCKDOWN.

The Islamic University in Uganda Rector Assoc Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda has asked staff and students of the university to remain positive and calm as Uganda goes for 42 days lockdown.

This was in his official written communication to the University in a letter dated 7th June 2021, just a day after Uganda’s President H.E Yoweri Museveni declared another 42 days lockdown in a televised address on Sunday night.

In the letter, Prof. Gyagenda said that the University is closing normal business and all students must go home, except international students (IS) who may not be able to travel back home.

According to the communication, All full time staff are  still on duty adding that their supervisors may call upon them to provide particular services to their departments as needed.
