Prof Airat Afolasade Sulaiman

Professor

Prof. Airat Sulaiman has been a professional teacher since 1989 and a counselling psychologist since 1997. She obtained her Doctoral degree from the University of Durban-Westville, South Africa, now the University of kwazulu-Natal in 2003.

She started her lecturing career at the Lagos State University from 1999 – 2021 and joined the service of the Islamic University in Uganda in 2021, she was a lecturer on sabbatical from 2013-2014 and currently the HOD, Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education.

She has published dozens of articles in reputable international and national journals, she is the author of the book Sexuality Education and Couple Guidance and co-author of Understanding the special needs children.

She has graduated scores of undergraduate students, dozens of Master’s degree and eight doctoral students. She has attended and presented academic papers at different conferences, local, national and international.
