IUIU Participates in The Annual General Meeting of RUFORUM

The RUFORUM Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place this year in Yaounde; the Capital city of Cameroon between 28th October 2023 to 2nd November 2023.

As a full member of the RUFORUM, the Islamic University in Uganda was actively represented by the Dean Faculty of Agribusiness and Natural Resource Sciences (FANRES). He joined the dean's forum dealing with thorough deliberations on the current status and planning of technical aspects of agriculture in member countries and Africa as a whole.

In addition, he attended the Vice Chancellors' meeting on behalf of the IUIU Rector Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda. The annual report was discussed profoundly, feedback was offered and finally approved by the university Vice Chancellors.

The next AGM was decided to take place in Namibia. Together with other delegates, the dean, FANRES participated in all visits to memorial places and all wonderful side events organized and visited exhibitions prepared by the students and staff members for the purpose of the AGM.

Having expressed its active participation in the AGM Cameroon and interest in further collaboration with the RUFORUM, IUIU will be having projects focusing on capacity building and community development.
