Saudi Arabian Embassy Kampala Donates Iftar Items for Ramadan 2022 to Muslim Communities in Uganda

On behalf of His Majesty, the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman Abdulaziz of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Jamal Al Madani, the Ambassador to the Republic of Uganda on Friday April 22nd 2022 donated 100 boxes of dates and 250 gift cards (each worth UGX 150,000) to IUIU students and staff to celebrate the Holy month of Ramadhan.

The Rector, Assoc. Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda accompanied by the IUIU student leaders, Mr. Kakande Afdhal outgoing Guild President Main Campus, Ms. Namukose Mariam Guild President Females’ Campus, Mr. Yiga Ismael Guild President Kampala Campus and Mr. Abdulmutwalib Kizza Guild President Arua Campus, received the items at the Embassy in Kololo.

The Ambassador expressed the warm greetings from the King to the brotherly people of Uganda and all the Muslim communities who are observing the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Other Institutions that received donations were the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.
